BATTERIES
We will, for example, test your battery to ensure it isn’t getting bad. This will ensure that you don’t end up with a dead battery on your trip. If a battery is getting old, it may not hold a charge well, leak, crack, or become brittle. All of these things will be looked for.
BRAKES
Because you can’t drive your car without working brakes, we will also inspect them. We want you to be able to rely on your brakes, even in adverse weather. We will service your brakes if necessary. This includes replacing the brake pads if they are too low.
FLUIDS
Before you travel, make sure to inspect all fluids, belts, and hoses, or, better yet, let us do it. It is important to ensure that all systems are lubricated with the correct amount of fluid. Also, we want to ensure that the hoses and belts are not damaged or worn.
OIL
An oil check is included in the fluid check. Make sure your vehicle has an oil change before you go on your road trip. This ensures that you have clean oil and a new oil filter in the system for maximum fuel economy. After all, you do not want to spend all of your money on fuel.
TIRES
You can’t drive on the roads if your tires are not in good condition. This applies to the spare, too. We will check the tires for tread and air. We will increase the PSI if any tires are too low. It’s also a good idea that you check your air pressure while driving and add air when needed.
